Why become a member?/files/Pictures for Pages/handstogether.jpg

The most common image of the church in the New Testament is that of a body. As a body is made of many parts, all critical to the health of the whole body, so too, a church is made up of many members. When a person welcomes Christ into his life, he becomes a “member” of the body of Christ, the Church (Romans 12:2-4, 1 Corinthians 12:24, Colossians 3:15). The Bible speaks of membership in terms of belonging to the universal body of Christ, the greater Church.

The Atlanta Road Alliance Church, as all local churches, is used of God to bring people to Christ, equip them with the knowledge of God’s will, and prepare them for service. While we do not require formal membership of those who attend, we do recommend membership as an expression of commitment to the local and larger work of God.

How do I become a member?

1.  Attend the "Getting Acquainted" class.

Several times each year, a “Getting Acquainted” class is offered for those who are new to the church. Although attendance in this class is not required for membership, it is recommended for those considering becoming a formal member of the church to attend.
